First offshore operations for our 5MW wind turbine at the SEM-REV test site !

A key milestone was reached

October 15th, 2023

this summer with the installation of the anchors for our 5MW floating wind turbine at the SEM-REV offshore test site, operated by the Fondation OPEN-C, off Le Croisic. This step constitutes the first offshore activities of the France Atlantique project, for which the investment decision was taken in November 2022 and which aims to build, install and operate a 5MW wind turbine based on the EOLINK pyramidal concept.

The installation of the mooring system is partly funded by the European Interreg OceanDemo project and, more generally, the France Atlantique project is supported by the France 2030 programme. The contributions of ACCIONA Energía and Groupe VALOREM, in particular via its subsidiary VALEMO for the operation and maintenance of the wind turbine, are also key to enabling us to deliver this project.
